“Cancel Culture” – “not valuing free speech” – “pro-censorship” – all of these things that those on the Right are very quick to accuse the Left of. However, the moment a piece of art runs afoul of their idea of what is and is not appropriate, they are the first to decry its very existence.

The music video, WAP, which recently has gone viral, frankly, nauseates me as much as it nauseates Abby from Classically Abby. I, however, while I have no desire to ever see that video again, realize that my taste is not universal, and that it would be wrong to deprive other people of access to that video just because of my distaste for it – and it would likewise be wrong to deprive the artists who made it of their artistic outlet for such a reason.
Abby, however, thinks that such a video is not just distasteful by her standard, but that it should not be out there for people to consume. I explain, in my response video, how Abby’s opposition to the very presence of a video that she dislikes is extremely problematic.
