Ben Shapiro invited Dr. Debra Soh onto his show so that he can use her to attack the very legitimacy of transgender identity. He tries to present himself as being very strong on facts and logic – but this mere segment of less than eleven minutes is rife with fallacy and misinformation.
In my response, I only had time to call out the tip of the iceberg of what was wrong in that segment. That includes: (1) the Straw Man fallacy (2) the Motte and Bailey Fallacy – and not to mention how Dr. Soh’s use of the (3) Appeal to Rebellion fallacy exposes Benny Boy’s own (4) Appeal to Renegade Authority.
