My Internet Rants – in Blog Form
Alcoholics Anonymous has a book titled “The ‘God’ Word – Agnostic and Atheist Members in A.A.” While this book has some great things about it, there are also somethings about this book that make it problematic.
And while it is important to not only validate, but celebrate the success stories of Alcoholics Anonymous – it is also important to tell the horror stories as well – and to do so in a way that gives proper attention to the systemic problems behind them. This is the only way that we can, hopefully, get Alcoholics Anonymous to address its systemic problems.
